The University of Aruba is a young university and consists of four faculties, namely the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Accounting, Finance & Marketing, the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management Studies and the Faculty of Arts and Science. These faculties are supported by the offices & centers, of which one is the Research Center.The Research Center aims to enable UA researchers to increase the impact of their research by improving the visibility and accessibility of their research outputs and supporting UA researchers in their research efforts. Additionally, the Research Center coordinates the Dutch Caribbean Digital Competence Network, or DCDC-Network.
The DCDC-Network starts in 2025 and promotes collaboration, shares expertise, and develops a vision towards Collective Knowledge in the Caribbean region. The DCDC-Network builds digital competence via peer-to-peer exchange, a training program, and facilitates strategic partnerships. The Network collectively works towards a more open and collaborative research data culture in the Dutch Caribbean.
